The Challenge
Nine Malaysian high-tech startups, as part of a program by the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation and True Digital Park, sought practical insights to enhance their ventures in Thailand’s unique business landscape. They needed industry-specific advice on talent management, networking, and marketing in the Thai cultural context.

The Solution
xCelery organized an event at True Digital Park on 28 November, bringing these startups together with four esteemed local experts for panel discussions. The event provided a collaborative space for the startups to engage in open dialogues with professionals like Roberto Kauffman-Dev (CPO, aCommerce), Chakrit Wichian (Founder & CEO, Prodigy9), Jacob Holder (Founder & MD, Mobius Agency), and Alex Lorent Guerra (Founder, Asia Pillars). Topics focused on talent retention, building professional networks, and Thai cultural marketing. The panelists shared insights on how Thai workers value friendships, fun, and a nurturing, non-blaming work environment. Additionally, the emotional nature of Thai culture was highlighted, stressing the importance of investing in the right communities for long-term impact.

The Outcome
The event was a success, with startups gaining valuable, culturally relevant advice to improve their ventures in Thailand. The discussions fostered strong industry connections and gave the startups practical strategies to navigate the Thai market. Inspired by the results, True Digital Park and xCelery have continued to collaborate on similar initiatives, enhancing regional startup ecosystems.
